TakeOff 2000+™ TakeOff 2000+™ for Spreadsheets is a digitizer interface software.

Instead of using a scaled rule or rolling wheel device to take off data from project drawings or plans, the estimator uses a stylus. The stylus measures quantities on the drawings and inputs the data directly into an estimating program or spreadsheet. This is much faster and more accurate than old fashioned hand methods. TakeOff 2000+™ does Lineal, Square and Count measurements. It can use any imperial or metric scale (e.g. 1/8, 1/4, 3/16, 1:50, 1:100, etc.), plus it can determine the scale by measuring one known measurement. The estimator can view each step of the take-off process on the computer monitor. This helps to avoid both inadvertent data omissions and repetitions. The estimator can also color code the on screen graphical take-off. This copy of TakeOff 2000+™ is configured specifically for use with a spreadsheet program. More specifically for Microsoft Excel or Lotus 123.

TakeOff 2000+™ is run by using the stylus to touch on a menu card. By touching cells in the menu card many keyboard and mouse functions are performed that tell TakeOff 2000+™ and Excel what to do. Pictures:

This picture shows a GTCO 20 X 24 Rollup II digitizer with the normal tape on menu. It also shows TakeOff 2000+™ running with Microsoft Excel on two monitors. Most newer notebook computers will allow an external monitor to be connected to the external monitor port and the desktop to be extended across both monitors.

This picture shows TakeOff 2000+™ running with Microsoft Excel on a single monitor. As you measure quantities with a digitizer a graphic representation of the takeoff displays in one window. Upon completion of the measurement the quantity is automatically sent the originating spreadsheet cell. To use two monitors just move one of the application windows to the second monitor.
